Basketball Recap: Aaliyah Humphrey Key Part of a Team Effort in Indians Win

There's no place like home for Wetumpka, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They strolled past the Stanhope Elmore Mustangs with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 49-35. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-38 last Thursday.

Wetumpka got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aaliyah Humphrey out in front who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. Humphrey is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Logan Banks, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards.

Wetumpka's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points per game. As for Stanhope Elmore, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
