Softball Recap: Oneonta Comes Up Short

On Monday, the Oneonta Redskins came up short against the Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils and fell 5-2.

Ali Such spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits. What's more, she gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024.

Oneonta's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Mortimer Jordan, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Oneonta will head out on the road to challenge Etowah at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Etowah's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Mortimer Jordan, they will be playing at home against Jasper at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
