Casteel has gone 8-1 against Chandler recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Colts will venture away from home to face off against the Wolves at 5:30 p.m. Casteel is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
Casteel is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Higley, who was ranked third at the time (Casteel was ranked sixth). The Colts had just enough and edged out the Knights 3-2 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Colts have posted against the Knights since April 28, 2022.
Casteel had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 26-28, 25-23, 25-21, 15-10.

Casteel found their leader in sophomore Will Schneiderman, who had 23 digs and eight assists. Schneiderman is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games he's played. Maddox Young also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.
Meanwhile, Chandler entered their matchup against Perry on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wolves took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pumas.
Chandler started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-17, 25-10, 25-23.
Chandler's loss dropped their record down to 17-10-1. As for Casteel, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-10-1.
Casteel came out on top in a nail-biter against Chandler in their previous matchup on April 1st, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
