Football Recap: Mabank Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mabank fell victim to Lindale and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were dealt a 49-0 loss at the hands of the Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Jaxon Copeland threw for 95 yards on six of 23 attempts. Wayne Langford was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards.

Leading Lindale to victory were David Lindig and Reed Carnathan. Lindig picked up 48 receiving yards and one TD, while Carnathan threw for 48 yards and one touchdown.

Mabank's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lindale, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Mabank will take on Palestine at 7:30 p.m. on the 31st. The Panthers will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 47.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lindale, they will challenge Pine Tree at 7:30 p.m. on the 31st. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
