McGuffey put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past the West Greene Pioneers with points to spare, taking the game 51-33. That's more bragging rights for the Highlanders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Darren Knight, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 12 points. Matthew Wassil was another key player, putting up six points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks.

McGuffey's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for West Greene, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1.

McGuffey will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Carlynton at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. As for West Greene, they will venture away from home to square off against Avella at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
