Volleyball Game Preview: Window Rock Fighting Scouts vs. Ganado Hornets + How To Watch

The Window Rock Fighting Scouts will venture away from home to square off against the Ganado Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Saturday, Window Rock came up short against Tuba City and fell 3-1.

Window Rock started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 29-27, 26-24, 25-21.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Ganado and Chinle had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Hornets walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wildcats on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Hornets have beaten the Wildcats on their court since September 7, 2021.

The victory didn't come easy: Chinle scored at least 21 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 23-25, 25-22, 25-23.

Ganado's win came from a few key players Window Rock will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cheyenne Denetso, who had 18 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Window Rock's loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-7. As for Ganado, their win bumped their record up to 15-12.

Everything went Window Rock's way against Ganado in their previous matchup on Wednesday, as Window Rock made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fighting Scouts since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
