Basketball Recap: St. Edmund Takes a Loss

St. Edmund was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Pitkin Tigers 85-38. The Fighting Blue Jays were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-23.

St. Edmund's defeat dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Pitkin, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season.

Looking ahead, St. Edmund and Westminster Christian Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Pitkin, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hicks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Hicks sitting on six straight victories and Pitkin on seven.
