Volleyball Recap: Stacey's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Stacey's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against Luling by a score of 3-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Stacey as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 26-28, 25-17.

Ashanti Almosara paced Stacey's offense, picking up eight kills. Almosara got some help from Leah Jones and her 13 assists. Jones also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jordan Davis, racking up six apiece.

Stacey's win bumped their record up to 4-16. As for Luling, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Looking ahead, Stacey will head out to take on KIPP Somos Collegiate at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Luling, they will be playing at home against Karnes City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
