            Softball Recap: Fairview Yellowjackets vs. Harpeth Indians        
        
		
        
        
            Fairview had lost ten straight on the road dating back to last season, but  on Monday they dropped their record down to 6-11 to make it 11. They fell just short of the Harpeth Indians by a score of  5-4. The Yellowjackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won  11-10.
  Allie Penning made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-4 with one  home run.  Kylie Ellison was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
As for Harpeth,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 6-10-1. Five seems to be a good number for they as the  squad scooped up a  win with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
 On Harpeth's side,  the team  relied heavily on  Cameron Hayes, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairview will venture away from home to  take on Sycamore  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets are facing the War Eagles at the right time seeing as the War Eagles are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak. As for Harpeth, they will take on Hickman County at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Indians will also cruise into their next  contest with the timing on their side: the Bulldogs will have lost ten straight heading into Tuesday's  matchup.
