Volleyball Recap: Pardeeville Bulldogs vs. Oakfield Oaks
Pardeeville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Oakfield Oaks. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Oaks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.
Pardeeville was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-13.
Kiana Cook paced Pardeeville's offense, picking up four kills. Cook got some help from Lexi Hughes and her 13 assists. Finally, Bronte Hulberg kept Pardeeville's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
Oakfield found their leader in sophomore Lily Collien, who had eight digs and two aces.
Pardeeville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Oakfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.
Pardeeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oakfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Markesan on the 11th.
