Baseball Recap: Burbank Takes a Loss

Burbank was the 5-3 winner over Muir when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Burbank Bulldogs fell just short of the Muir Mustangs by a score of 2-1 on Monday.

Burbank dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Muir, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-3.

While Burbank had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
