Volleyball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Potosi Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

While Central ultimately came up short, they really made Potosi work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-13.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Potosi, they pushed their record up to 23-4-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Central will take on North County at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Potosi, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Fredericktown on the 14th.
