Canyon Hills and Sweetwater are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Canyon Hills Rattlers will head out on the road to face off against the Sweetwater Red Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Canyon Hills' tournament run continued when they took on Mar Vista on Tuesday. Canyon Hills lost 7-1 to Mar Vista. The Rattlers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Canyon Hills saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Lewis, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Sweetwater suffered their closest loss since May 2, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of San Diego by a score of 7-5.

Luis Castro made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Adam Gomez also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Sweetwater's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Canyon Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1.
