Basketball Recap: Taholah Comes Up Short

If Taholah was riding high fresh off their 85-28 takedown of Lake Quinault on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Taholah Chitwhins took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Muckleshoot Tribal Kings on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Chitwhins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Kings are ranked 128th).

Despite the loss, Taholah still got an impressive performance from Jayden Lewis, who posted 24 points. Jade Charley was another key player, putting up nine points.

Taholah's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Muckleshoot Tribal, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Taholah has already played their next contest, a 67-64 defeat against Ocosta on the 28th. As for Muckleshoot Tribal, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 74-67 loss against Summit Classical Christian School on the 28th.
