Soccer Game Preview: Mayfield vs. Washington

The Mayfield Wildcats will take on the Washington Tigers in a tournament on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Mayfield is headed into Monday's match hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They lost 5-1 to Cleveland Heights on Thursday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Mayfield were already down 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Bedji Dort, who's now up to nine this season.

Meanwhile, Washington didn't have quite enough to beat McKinley on Saturday and fell 2-1.

Mayfield's loss dropped their record down to 10-5-1. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-3.
