Baseball Recap: North Union Takes a Loss

North Union had lost ten straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 3-16 to make it 11. They fell just short of the Northwestern Warriors by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered against the Warriors since April 24, 2023.

As for Northwestern, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted against North Union since April 24, 2023.

For Northwestern's part, not much got past Nolan Hockett, who gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks to keep North Union off the board.

At the plate, Northwestern's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Logan Errett, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Cohlton Hughes also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
