Baseball Recap: Shallowater Triumphs

Shallowater proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let the Littlefield Wildcats get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Shallowater's win bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Littlefield, they moved to 19-8 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coming up, Shallowater will head out on the road to take on Andrews at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Andrews' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Shallowater's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Littlefield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
