It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Moapa Valley can now relate to. They fell 5-0 to the Boulder City Eagles on Wednesday. The Pirates' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Moapa Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lachlan Stephenson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one double. Another was Tyson Pettingill, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Moapa Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 19-11. As for Boulder City, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-12 record this season.
