Basketball Recap: Surrey Extends Winning Streak to Three

Surrey entered their tilt with Nedrose on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 55-39 victory over the Nedrose Cardinals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 65-43 last Saturday.

Surrey's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Keller, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 15 points and five steals. Makya Gerding was another key player, going 5 for 9 on her way to 13 points and six rebounds.

Surrey was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Surrey's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Nedrose, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Surrey will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Westhope/Newburg at 7:15 p.m. on January 2, 2025. As for Nedrose, they will look to defend their home court on December 30th against Beulah at 7:00 p.m.
