Central won the last time they faced Jacobs and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Rockets put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp  8-1 victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Rockets.
 Isabella Reed spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Mei Shirokawa was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. That  triple marked the first that  she has  hit this season.  Olivia Sutton was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI.
The  win  got Central back to even at 6-6. As for Jacobs, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will take on Harvard at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Jacobs, they will challenge Oswego at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their  13th straight  victory, something the Golden Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
