            Softball Recap: McComb Tigers vs. South Pike Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            McComb was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They came up short against  the South Pike Eagles, falling  22-11. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won  10-5.
  Damiyah Walker was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
McComb's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-2. As for South Pike, their win  ended  an  eight-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-7.
 Coincidentally, McComb and South Pike will both be playing Amite County the next time they take the field. The Eagles will head out to face the Trojans at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday, while the Tigers will  host them  at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday.
