Soccer Recap: Roanoke-Benson Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Roanoke-Benson unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They lost 8-0 to the East Moline United Panthers on Friday.

East Moline United has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Roanoke-Benson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calvary Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on September 13. As for East Moline United, they will take on Genoa-Kingston in a tournament on Saturday.
