Football Recap: Beverly Hills Takes a Loss

Beverly Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by the Hawthorne Cougars 42-7. If the Normans were looking for revenge after losing 43-24 to the Cougars when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Beverly Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ethan Norsworthy and Ethan Panahi. Kazra Abdohallian was another major factor on D, picking up 5.5 sacks, forcing three fumbles, and making eight total tackles (6.5 for loss).

Beverly Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Hawthorne, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7.

Beverly Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hawthorne, they will challenge Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Apaches' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.22 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
