Soccer Recap: North Pontotoc Extends Winning Streak to Four

North Pontotoc barely beat Vardaman the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 8-0 victory on Tuesday. Anne Crotwell was a massive factor in the win as she booted in seven goals all by herself.

The win was the fourth in a row for North Pontotoc, bringing their record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those four matchups. As for Vardaman, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. North Pontotoc will square off against Itawamba Agricultural at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vardaman, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cleveland Central at 5:00 p.m. on December 2.
