When it comes to explaining why Kearns lost, one person who can't be blamed is Darin Detvongsa. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points. Kayden Stark was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
West Jordan's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Kearns, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
West Jordan will be playing at home against Taylorsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Taylorsville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Friday. As for Kearns, they will head out on the road to square off against Juan Diego Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Juan Diego Catholic's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matchups.
