Recap: Richards Warriors vs. Catalyst-Maria Wolves

The Richards Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 27 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Catalyst-Maria 73-28 at home. The victory was just what Richards needed coming off of a 73-51 loss in their prior game.

Richards' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from David Thomas, who shot 5-for-11 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a triple-double on 32 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Thomas has scored at least 25% of Richards' points. Another player making a difference was Davon Simpson, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and four steals.

Richards is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Catalyst-Maria, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richards will challenge Bogan at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Bogan's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. Catalyst-Maria won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Blue Island Eisenhower at 6:30 p.m. on December 13th. Blue Island Eisenhower is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
