Baseball Recap: Carlisle Thundering Herd vs. Northern York Polar Bears
After flying high against Red Land last Thursday, Carlisle came back down to earth. The Thundering Herd fell 4-0 to the Northern York Polar Bears on Saturday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.
Carlisle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bradyn Sober, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
Carlisle's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Northern York, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlisle will venture away from home to take on Lower Dauphin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northern York, they will head out to square off against Greencastle-Antrim at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
