Basketball Recap: Marquette Drops Highest Score of Season Against Escanaba

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marquette). They blew past the Escanaba Eskymos 68-33 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Redmen have posted since January 28th.

Escanaba lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Susie Moberg, who posted two points and nine steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (two). Another player making a difference was McKenzie Engebretson, who put up five points.

The victory made it two in a row for Marquette and bumps their season record up to 9-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points over those games. As for Escanaba, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Marquette nor Escanaba have any future games scheduled.
