Softball Recap: Fennimore Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Fennimore not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 14th (when they won 15-1). They put the hurt on the Southwestern Wildcats with a sharp 9-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Golden Eagles, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Fennimore, bringing their record up to 12-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Southwestern, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Fennimore and Southwestern will both be playing Riverdale the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will host the Chieftains at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Golden Eagles will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
