            Basketball Recap: Southeast Halifax Trojans vs. Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars        
        
		
        
        
            Southeast Halifax was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight  defeat. They took  a  69-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  84-75  back in November of 2024.
Southeast Halifax lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Adaveon Batchelor, who  posted six  points and ten  boards.  O'Tavion Arrington was another key player,  putting up ten points.

 Even though they lost, Southeast Halifax  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 11  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive rebounds in five consecutive  matches.
 Rocky Mount Prep got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Trey'Von Nicholson out in front who  put up 16  points.  Christian Taylor also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first points of the season.
Southeast Halifax's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Rocky Mount Prep, their win  ended  a  six-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 4-8.
 Southeast Halifax has  already played their next  game (against Weldon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rocky Mount Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  an  87-73  defeat against Wilson Prep on the 28th.
