Softball Recap: Trico Pioneers vs. Century Centurions
Trico had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Century Centurions 12-3. Considering Trico has won 15 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Mia Jimenez was incredible, going 5-for-5 with four runs, four doubles, and five RBI. Josie Wettig was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs.
The win was the fifth in a row for Trico, bringing their record for this year to 24-5. As for Century, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Trico didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory vs. Goreville on the 24th. Century does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
