After a string of three wins, Deer Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Emerald Aerouants.

While Deer Valley ultimately came up short, they really made Emerald work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 26-24, 25-19.

Alliyah Morauda paced Deer Valley's offense, picking up eight kills. Morauda got some help from Gabriella Duarte and her 14 assists. Duarte was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Deer Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Emerald, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Deer Valley has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Washington on the 13th. As for Emerald, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against West on the 13th.
