Baseball Recap: Leflore Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Leflore barely beat Buffalo Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Leflore Savages beat the Buffalo Valley Buffaloes on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-2. The Savages have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Buffaloes, too.

Leflore got a massive performance out of Ben Dacus, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Dacus continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Matshall Dacus, who scored three runs and stole Five bases. while going 2-for-2.

Leflore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Leflore and bumps their season record up to 3-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10 runs. As for Buffalo Valley, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Leflore will look to defend their home field on Monday against Indianola at 4:00 p.m. As for Buffalo Valley, they will venture away from home to challenge Pocola at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
