Softball Recap: Southridge Takes a Loss

Southridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 22-3 to TERRA Environmental. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 16-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2021.

Alizaya Escobar was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one run. Darelis Chaparro was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-3.

Southridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for TERRA Environmental, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southridge will venture away from home to square off against Coral Park at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for TERRA Environmental, they are taking a road trip to take on Homestead at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
