The Ryle Raiders will face off against the Bracken County Polar Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Ryle is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

Ryle took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Grant County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Raiders' pitcher stepped up to hand the Braves a 2-0 shutout on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted since April 12th.

Not much got past Laci DeLauder, who gave up just four hits to keep Grant County off the board.

On the hitting side, Ryle's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Rayne Patsel, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Patsel's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Bracken County suffered their biggest loss since March 30, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 14-4 to Wolfe County. The Polar Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ryle's victory bumped their record up to 10-4-1. As for Bracken County, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.

Everything went Ryle's way against Bracken County in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, as Ryle made off with an 11-4 win. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Polar Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
