Basketball Recap: Arlington Falls Despite Big Games from Emerson Timm and Britt Nielsen

Arlington has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 50-41 to the North Bend Central Tigers on Tuesday. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Arlington's loss came despite strong showings from Britt Nielsen and Emerson Timm. Nielsen went 10 for 19 on her way to 26 points and seven rebounds, while Timm posted ten points and six assists.

Arlington's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3. As for North Bend Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6.

Arlington will take on Syracuse at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Arlington has won four straight at home, while Syracuse won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for North Bend Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder on Thursday.
