Football Recap: Doniphan Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Portageville, Doniphan was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 21-13 victory over the Granite City Warriors.

Although Granite City took the loss, they still got scores from Kaysen Emerson and Demond Lewis.

The win got Doniphan back to even at 4-4. As for Granite City, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Coming up, Doniphan will be playing in front of their home fans against Pleasant Hope at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dons will be up against the Pirates' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Granite City, they will head out on the road to take on Ottawa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
