Whitefish Bay faced Slinger in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Blue Dukes' pitchers stepped up to hand the Owls a 6-0 shutout. Considering the Blue Dukes have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Whitefish Bay is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 17-5 record this season. As for Slinger, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitefish Bay will take on Pewaukee at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Blue Dukes' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Slinger, they will challenge West Bend West at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Spartans have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
