Volleyball Recap: Wise Takes a Loss

Wise was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Flowers Jaguars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pumas of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Wise wouldn't go down easily and took Flowers into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-14, 25-22, 14-25, 15-7.

Wise's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Flowers, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Wise will square off against rival DuVal at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Flowers is set to face off against their familiar foe High Point at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
