Volleyball Recap: Portage Indians vs. New Prairie Cougars

Portage's tournament run continued when they took on New Prairie on Saturday. The Indians took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Olivia Riffle paced Portage's offense, picking up five kills. Riffle got some help from Ella Klakoski and her nine assists. Klakoski also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Julianne Imes, racking up three apiece.

New Prairie's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Faith Robbins, who had 13 assists and five digs. The dominant performance also gave Robbins a new career-high in kills (two).
