Softball Game Preview: Lockport Lions vs. Niagara Falls Wolverines

Lockport hasn't had much luck against Niagara Falls recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lions will look to defend their home field against the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. Lockport has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lockport is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Lewiston-Porter, falling 19-12.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Niagara Falls' offense. They fell just short of Kenmore West by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lockport's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Niagara Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Lockport couldn't quite get it done against Niagara Falls in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 6-2. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
