Softball Preview: Indio Rajahs vs. El Toro Chargers        
        
		
            The Indio Rajahs will challenge the El Toro Chargers at 3:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. Indio will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Indio is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past Northview  4-2. That's two games straight that the Rajahs have won by  exactly two  runs.
 Kaila Wilson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned runs on six hits.
 At the plate, Indio's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Carmen Gordillo, who  went 1-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask El Toro). They put the hurt on Quartz Hill with a sharp  14-7 victory on Saturday. The Chargers not only won  on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win  since March 22nd (when they won  10-0).
El Toro also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in:  Hayden Stofle gave up  just two earned  (and five unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 13 Ks. Stofle has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, El Toro got a  massive  performance out of  Sadie Mitchell, who  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double.  Ellie Mattocks was another key player,  going 2-for-5 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 El Toro  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. That's the most  hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
 Indio pushed their record up to 18-11 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for El Toro,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 13-12-1.
