Baseball Recap: University Prep Gets the Win

It's playoff time, and University Prep had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Central Valley Falcons by a score of 4-1 on Friday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Tyson Wurzer was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of University Prep's success: when he posts at least one home run the team is undefeated (and 9-14-1 when he doesn't).

University Prep's record is now 12-14-1. As for Central Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-13-1 record this season.

University Prep will face off against Durham at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. Central Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
