Basketball Recap: Stockton Christian Gets the Win

Turlock Christian came into Friday's match looking for another win against Stockton Christian, but Jayden Chamblee wouldn't allow it. The Stockton Christian Eagles walked away with a 67-54 win over the Turlock Christian Eagles on Friday thanks in part to Chamblee, who posted 27 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last 13 games he's played.

Despite the loss, Turlock Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cam Kelley made all 7 shots he took for 20 points and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kelley has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Michael Miller, who made all 10 shots he took racking up 23 points.

Stockton Christian now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Turlock Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Stockton Christian has already played their next game, a 60-53 defeat against Humphreys Able Charter on the 16th. As for Turlock Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 63-52 loss against River Islands on the 14th.
