Basketball Recap: Monday's Win Is Maple Mountain's Third in Last Four Outings

On Monday, the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles were able to grind out a solid win over the Hunter Wolverines, taking the game 51-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

Maple Mountain can attribute much of their success to Cole Erickson, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Solomon Krommenhoek, who put up six points.

Hunter lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Keaton Miller, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Uluaki Taukiuvea, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Maple Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Hunter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Maple Mountain didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-45 victory against Cedar on the 4th. As for Hunter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 78-66 defeat against Kearns on the 3rd.
