Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for West Greene

West Greene extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Lane Allison. The West Greene Pioneers simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Mapletown Maples 61-33 thanks in part to Allison, who went 10 of 13 on his way to 21 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Chaucer Von Scio, who posted six points. What's more, he also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2023.

West Greene is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Mapletown, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

West Greene didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-40 defeat against Chartiers-Houston on the 24th. As for Mapletown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 62-13 loss against Jefferson-Morgan on the 24th.
