Soccer Game Preview: Wakeland vs. Reedy

The Wakeland Wolverines will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Reedy Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wakeland's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Reedy's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Wakeland is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Cedar Park just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result kept the Wolverines happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

Meanwhile, Reedy hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They played to a draw too, finishing 3-3 against Tyler Legacy. There's a chance things could've gone differently had the Lions not been charged with a red card from Harrison Nitz.

Reedy hit Tyler Legacy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ryan McGrath, Luke Kokes, and Gino Sasso.

Reedy's draw makes their record 4-0-1 this season. As for Wakeland, they moved theirs to 4-0-1.

Wakeland skirted past Reedy 2-1 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Wakeland repeat their success, or does Reedy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
