Football Recap: Kit Carson Wildcats vs. Genoa-Hugo Pirates

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Weskan, Kit Carson was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They strolled past the Genoa-Hugo Pirates with points to spare, taking the game 42-24. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their eight-point performance the contest before.

Kit Carson's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged four passes before it was all said and done. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Mason Marriott. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

Kit Carson now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Genoa-Hugo, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
