The Wekiva Mustangs will challenge the Haines City Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Wekiva is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Umatilla 59-15. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Mustangs have posted since December 15, 2023.

Wekiva got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jakayla Johnson out in front who went 8 of 14 en route to 17 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Bell, who went 7 of 10 on her way to 14 points along with six steals and five assists.
Wekiva was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Haines City waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They claimed a resounding 81-13 win over the Blue Streaks. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.
Wekiva better keep an eye on Delyana Morris. She was instrumental in Haines City's win, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. Morris has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Terionce Jackson, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 15 points and four steals.
Haines City pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Wekiva, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Wekiva has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 23.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Haines City struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
