Wausau East never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Merrill Bluejays. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lumberjacks have posted since April 8th.

Wausau East is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Merrill, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8.

Merrill wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-3 victory against Marshfield on the 7th. Hopefully Wausau East paid attention to the Bluejays' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bluejays at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
